La Jolla Art and Wine Festival
The FREE 11th annual La Jolla Art & Wine Festival is back in October. It comes loaded with even more unique art, cosmopolitan wine, craft beer, and all-ages fun on Saturday, October 12th, and Sunday, October 13th from 10 am to 6 pm. There is no better place to host one of the most anticipated festivals than in the luxurious coastal La Jolla Village. Besides the art the festival will feature a gourmet food court, and wine, craft beer and spirits garden representing local brews, distilleries, and global wineries.
Two-day Juried Art Show
This two-day juried art show and fundraiser events is one of the most esteemed art and wine festivals in all of Southern California. Over 150 national and international artists will be present, showcasing their inspiration in many different mediums such as sculpture, painting, fine glass, jewelry design, ceramics, mixed media, woodwork, and photography.
Open to All
This event is open to all, not just art enthusiasts. It is also a place where wine aficionados and craft beer fans can come together. The wine garden that has been an iconic part of the festival with over 40 different wines from all over the world, caters just for you to take your taste buds on an international expedition. There will be local craft breweries and craft distilleries.
Families will also enjoy interactive art experiences throughout the festival, where they will be able to unleash their inner artist with hands-on, creative activities! Absolutely all ages will be able to experiment with science, interactive demos, arts and crafts. The joyful activities are endless and free.
This event is proudly organized by a non-profit organization that delivers the funds to La Jolla’s Public Schools and underfunded school programs, such as art, music, science, physical education, technology, and on-site medical care. It also serves to promote local merchants bringing the community together and stronger. A nice perk is that all donations are tax-deductible.
“I see the deep beauty in the rough texture of bark on a tree; to the softness of a cloud; to designs that make up reflections on the water. My interpretation found its way to Mixed Media with detailed free hand line work and carving.” – By featured artist Carolyn Johnson
