The Birch Aquarium at Scripps
A great way to learn about the Pacific Ocean and enjoy the comfortable indoors is a visit to the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla. At the aquarium, you can experience more than 60 exhibits with over 5000 different sea creatures, feed the animals, and see exciting live shows. There are interactive exhibits that kids can enjoy and learn from. Tickets for the aquarium are $19.50 for adults, $16 for students/seniors, and $15 for kids. It’s definitely one of the best indoor things to see in La Jolla!
La Jolla Playhouse

The Comedy Store
When you visit La Jolla, The Comedy Store is a must-visit attraction. Many prominent comedians were given their start right here, and to this day, many famous comedians come back to visit the stage that gave birth to their careers. It does not matter what day you visit, you are guaranteed a good laugh all night, accompanied by a fantastic time. Tickets vary from show to show, but open mic nights are free!
The Map & Atlas Museum of La Jolla

Athenaeum Music & Arts Library
Located in the heart of La Jolla, in San Diego County, the Athenaeum is one of only 16 nonprofit membership libraries in the United States. Founded in 1899, the Athenaeum provides library resources in music and the arts and presents over 200 programs and cultural events annually.
The Cave Store
Home to the historic Sunny Jim Sea Cave, descend from their souvenir store into a century-old bootlegger’s tunnel through the sandstone cliffs of La Jolla Cove into the sea cave. One of La Jolla’s older businesses offering locals and tourists self-guided tours through the cove since 1902. The Cave Store and Sunny Jim Sea Cave is a must-see attraction.
