The Children’s Pool in La Jolla originally was supposed to be a swimming area for kids, as you would assume by reading the name. There is the seawall built in 1931 to protect the little beach from rough waters, making it safer. This cozy, protected area seemed like the perfect place for families, but the seals and sea lions and have called it home since 1992. Some may not agree on them staying but year after year tourists from all over the world come here just to see how seals and sea lions sunbathe and nurture their cubs on the rocks and at the beach. It is pretty cute, and kids love it! no wonder why its part of the Top 4 places in La Jolla!
